“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
The journey is hard, beloved. Many of you have been out in the midst of the messiness for so long doing so much good but seeing so many more needs left unmet. It can become difficult to carry on. The harvest is slow, the field never-ending, but through the Spirit we can persevere. In the midst of adversity, do not give up.
Wherever you are feeling weariness, step back to consider your harvest. You’ve made a bigger impact than you think.
Red Letter Christians
Red Letter Christians is a non-denominational Christian movement founded in 2007 by progressive evangelical authors and activists Tony Campolo and Shane Claiborne. The movement emerged as a counter-cultural reaction to the American religious right, seeking to distance faith from partisan politics and shift the evangelical focus away from a narrow set of dogmatic issues toward Jesus’s radical lifestyle commands. Guided primarily by teachings like the Sermon on the Mount, Red Letter Christians emphasize active social justice—specifically advocating for the poor, ending capital punishment, promoting racial reconciliation, protecting the environment, and practicing peace and nonviolence.
